Dance

Dancing to the rhythm of music in order to express intense emotions and sensations. Explore the many forms of physical expression, from first steps to complex choreography.

Dance transcends the body in movement, emotion and pure energy, playing with space and time. It expresses ideas or tells a story, combining mastery of space and a sense of rhythm.

Early dance

The early dance group course aims to develop children's taste for physical expression, while contributing to their intellectual and social development.

Fun exercises help children explore the concepts of space, time and movement, gradually preparing them for learning to dance.

Accessible from the age of 4 (stage 1.1 of primary education) and after audition.

Classical dance - Dance

Classical dance

  • Classical dance, or ballet, combines technical rigour and grace with codified movements and precise posture. It develops flexibility, strength and elegance while expressing musicality and emotion.
  • Accessible from the age of 7 (stage 2.2 of primary education) and after audition.
Jazz dance - Dance

Jazz dance

  • This dynamic and rhythmic style of dance is characterised by fluid and expressive movements, and is influenced by jazz, rock and pop music, encouraging the development of techniques that are unique to each musical genre.
  • Accessible from the age of 10 (stage 4.1 of primary education) and after audition.
Contemporary dance - Dance

Contemporary dance

  • This style of dance features a variety of movements and dynamic, free forms, exploring the relationship between the body, space, gravity and the ground. Improvisation allows dancers to express themselves through a rich and imaginative language of movement to music from a variety of styles and periods.
  • Accessible from the age of 9 and after audition.
Physical expression - Dance

Physical expression

  • The physical expression course promotes a progressive approach to dance, where students can explore through improvisation and observation in order to develop an awareness of their bodies. It incorporates the essential elements of movement before covering more formal codes.
  • Accessible from the age of 7 (on 31 August)

Musical training for dancers

  • The history of dance is a human science that aims to trace the historical interactions between dance and other arts, from prehistory to the present day, and to introduce student dancers to the various historical stages of the art of dance, including the different timelines and their most significant periods.
  • Compulsory course alongside dance classes.

Choreography & body movement

  • Dance kinesiology helps students improve their performance and prevent injury by understanding their bodies. It incorporates physical, psychological and emotional aspects to increase the awareness of movement.
