We cordially invite you to attend an outstanding musical experience. The Conservatoire Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of our conductor Matthias Rajczyk, will perform Dvořák's Mass in D major, op. 86. This impressive mass, often known as the Lužanská mše, was composed in 1887 for the inauguration of the chapel of Lužany Castle. Initially written for soloists, choir and organ, it was subsequently arranged for orchestra, immersing the audience in a world of sound of hope and love.
This performance will feature a special arrangement for wind quintet by Joachim Linckelmann, which gives the mass an exceptional and intimate tonal colour. In addition, the programme will include a cappella works, with the spiritual text of the Ave Maria set to unique musical arrangements by Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Arvo Pärt and Sergei Rachmaninoff. An evening full of musical depth and beauty awaits you.
