The Conservatoire du Nord launched the ‘Chouerschoul’ choral singing course in 2002-2003, an innovative programme that is modelled on the structure of instrumental studies. This course offers children the opportunity to develop their listening skills, their creativity and their appreciation of beauty, while acquiring a sound vocal technique. Its aim is to train future amateur vocal enthusiasts and voice professionals in Luxembourg.

The Chouerschoul, which consists of around a hundred young choir members, is organised into four regular groups and one ensemble dedicated to specific projects. Matthias Rajczyk has been the director of the Chouerschoul since the start of the 2019-2020 school year, and he is assisted by Benedikt Wesner, who is responsible for vocal technique.
