The Department of Theatre and the Spoken Arts at the Conservatoire du Nord offers training focused on mastery of the voice and oral expression, including disciplines such as theatre and dramatic recitation. It aims to develop students' elocution, self-confidence and creativity.

  • Students discover the pleasure of using their voice and body for improvisation and theatre, while at the same time developing their imagination and self-confidence. Learning takes place through communication and playful interaction in groups, in both real and imaginary contexts.

German and French diction - Theater

German and French diction

  • Individual tuition
  • The purpose of diction is to develop the ability to speak and express oneself. The exact definition of the objective varies according to the target group (actors, teachers, politicians, managers, lawyers, journalists, presenters and anyone interested in diction classes for personal or professional reasons).
  • Accessible from the age of 14 (on 31 August).

  • The course accompanies students of diction classes through a group discovery of breathing, voice and staging.
  • Compulsory course for students enrolled in diction classes.

  • Courses to discover and develop the student's dramatic potential, as well as body and vocal techniques for the portrayal of different characters.
  • Admission requires knowledge of diction, as evidenced by a stage one diploma and a test.
